Where to install
Gold Batts insulation?
Without insulation, even the best
designed home will allow heat to transfer through walls, ceiling
and floors. As a consequence, your comfort suffers and you can
end up spending far too much on heating and cooling energy
bills.
Gold Batts can stop up to 70% of all heat
transfers, keeping your home cooler in summer and warmer in
winter.

3.
Gold Batts for External Walls

through external walls. Fire resistance is also greatly
improved. EnviroSeal Light Duty wall wrap assists with thermal
insulation and condensation control and protects the inside of
the house during construction. Want to know more <click

Up to 10% of a homes heat can be lost through uninsulated
floors. The inclusion of EnviroSeal foil insulation under roof
tiles and as a wall wrap around the wall frames is recommended

How Heat
Transfer Affects Your Comfort
Heat always flows from hot areas to
cold areas, and that's where Gold Batts come into their own!
They act as a barrier, reducing heat transfer into your home in
summer and heat loss to the outside during winter.
Heat transfer occurs in three
different ways:
Radiation
Direct heat from the sun and
reflective hot surfaces. In summer, radiation from the sun heats
up your roof and wall surfaces and this heat is radiated into
your home.
Convection
Warm air displacing cool air. In
winter warm air rises and is replaced by cool air entering your
home.
Conduction
Heat transferred through materials
in your home. Warm air is cooled when it comes in contact with
uninsulated ceilings and external walls.
Even the best built homes suffer
from heat transfer unless they are adequately insulated.
In winter, 42% of a home's heat is
lost through the ceiling and 24% through the walls. In summer
heat flows in at the same rates.
To compensate, heating and cooling
appliances need to run at elevated power levels and for longer
periods to be effective.
Safe Formulation
Gold batts insulation are
manufactured using the latest FBS-1 bio-soluble glass wool
formulation which has been assessed as non-hazardous under the
National Occupational Health & Safety Commission's guidelines.
